If you experience one or both of the following issues in your PDF:
- Some symbols or text is missing in the PDF.
- Fonts are different in the PDF than the original document.
You can correct this usually by embedding the fonts you use into the PDF. Click to Convert allows you to easily do this:
1) When your creating your PDF, the Click to Convert "Publish Settings" window will appear.
2) In the "Publish Settings" window, choose PDF options->Fonts from the tree.
3) Ensure the "Embed fonts in PDF documents" option is selected and in the "Fonts Embedded" section, select either:
- Embed all TrueType fonts used.
- Embed TrueType font subsets.
- Embed Symbol TrueType fonts.
NOTE: The last option is very useful if your PDFs are only missing symbols such as TM, (C) etc, as Click to Convert will still produce the smallest PDF file size possible without the need to embed the entire font (just the symbol characters used are embedded).

Click to Convert creates high quality PDF and HTML files from any document or application.
PDF is especially good for creating documents with sensitive information and documents for printing, e-mailing and distribution.
HTML is best used for allowing users to quickly view and search documentation online. Click to Convert lets users choose the best format for their distribution requirements.

Portable Document Format (PDF) is the de facto standard for secure electronic document sharing, distribution and archiving.
PDFs are ideal for web and e-mail distribution for the following reasons:
PDF allows anyone to view your documents on any computer, without the need to have the original application the document was authored in.
PDF documents retain the look and feel of the original documents, including fonts, layout, images, links etc.
PDF documents are often smaller than the original document and so are very easy to send to other users.

Yes you can tell Click to Convert to create PDFs that don't have the navigation / bookmark pane open:
When creating the PDF, in the Click to Convert "Publish Settings" window, select "PDF option->Output" and un-check the "Display bookmarks when PDF is opened" option.
This will cause the bookmark / navigation pane in the PDFs to be hidden when loaded.
