How do I manually add the Click to Convert toolbar / button in MS Word - the installer did not add it?

Sometimes MS Word locks certain files, which causes the automatic installation of the Click to Convert button into MS Word to fail.

Here are some simple steps to manually install the Click to Convert button and menu item in MS Word:

1) Open MS Word and select Tools->Options from the menu bar. In the window that appears, click the "File Locations" tab. In the list you should see the "Startup" location listed. Double click the Startup option in the list to see which folder it points to on your computer.

2) Open the Click to Convert folder (where you installed Click to Convert - usually in "C:\Program Files\ClickToConvert\").

3) Look for a folder called "Office" then one inside that, one called "Startup".

4) Look for a file called "c2c.dot" and copy it to the "Startup" location above you found from within MS Word.

5) Close and re-start MS Word.
