After uninstalling, the Click to Convert button still appears in Word's toolbar. How can I remove it?

Sometimes MS Word is locked when Click to Convert un-installs itself - which means the toolbar is left behind. Here are some simple instructions to remove it:

1. Open MS Word.
2. Select Tools->Options from the MS Word menu bar.
3. Select the "File Locations" tab in the displayed window.
4. Double click the "Startup" item in the list. This will display the location that MS Word loads the toolbars from at startup.
5. Open Windows Explorer (or My Computer) to the location specified in the "Startup" item.
6. CLOSE MS Word, if already open.
7. CLOSE MS Outlook, if already open.
8. Delete the file called "c2c.dot" from the Startup folder using Windows Explorer (or My Computer).
9. Re-start MS Word to check.

If this doesn't work exactly right then sometimes MS Word copies the c2c.dot file as a backup. So the easiest way to remove them all is simply to search your computer for all c2c.dot files and remove them.
