Symbols such as TM, (C) etc. are missing in PDFs - what can I do?

If you experience one or both of the following issues in your PDF:
- Some symbols or text is missing in the PDF.
- Fonts are different in the PDF than the original document.
You can correct this usually by embedding the fonts you use into the PDF. Click to Convert allows you to easily do this:
1) When your creating your PDF, the Click to Convert "Publish Settings" window will appear.
2) In the "Publish Settings" window, choose PDF options->Fonts from the tree.
3) Ensure the "Embed fonts in PDF documents" option is selected and in the "Fonts Embedded" section, select either:
- Embed all TrueType fonts used.
- Embed TrueType font subsets.
- Embed Symbol TrueType fonts.
NOTE: The last option is very useful if your PDFs are only missing symbols such as TM, (C) etc, as Click to Convert will still produce the smallest PDF file size possible without the need to embed the entire font (just the symbol characters used are embedded).
